Inspired by Mayan church columns in Chajul, Guatemala, the zig zag evokes the storytelling of the ancient Maya. Now carved by the distant ancestors of the Maya, the Ifugao of the Phillipines, the zig zag easily adapts as bases for dining tables as seen here.
